Jay Kelly

Look, the movie is good. It is well narrated and directed, the actors all do a banger job. The score is nice. There is nothing wrong at all with this. The people in it did the best they have and it shows.

It is also the one thousand billion times I’ve seen a story about some arrogant rich dude who decided to put his Work with a capital W (here acting) before anything else to realize when it’s too late that his kids are grown up and don’t want to be around him, that he almost has no friends and that it’s maybe time to reconsider life. I don’t know how may times I’ve seen that story in some form or another, but I’ve seen or/and read it several times. And this movie, despite all the heart that did go in to it, doesn’t do anything special with its premise. But hey, if you’ve never seen that story, or if you like seeing this kind of stories, Jay Kelly is beyond good. I expecially liked Adam Sandler’s acting.
