Jo Ann Beard – The Fourth State of Matter

I stumbled upon this essay by pure chance. Not being American, I also had no clue what it was about. At first, I was convinced this was an essay about break ups and old dogs, separation and death. I was not prepared for what was to come.

It is a powerfull read. Well put together. A must read, surely.

There is, honestly, not much to say about the essay. In this case it is proof of its quality. Some things you just need to read and take in. One could do an interesting analysis of the prose and content, but that’s not the purpose of this tiny blog filled with mostly impressions.
