To Be Hero X
My obsession with the concept of this show is real. China does not joke around with its soft power move that I’ve seen are astonishingly good. It is not perfect in any way, I’ve a lot of beefs with the narration and some stories, but I like the overall idea, lore and darkness behind it all. The opening and endings are amazing and when the show is good it is really good. My main problem is that the sometime make decisions that seem to contradict how the world functions, but are fine in the moment because the creators had an idea and wanted to push that idea.
The Trust Value System is great, but it does not make any sense to me that some stay forever at 0 when you see Loli getting and losing Trust and light speed in the gym.
It’s also a show that slowly builds its lore and characters up, so the whole 24 episodes seemed more like an introduction to what is to follow than anything else. But hey, it was really fun, and I’m still not over the fact that even the different art styles have a reason to exist behind the creators having fun.
I think this is the first time I’m actually liking super-heroes, so, gg China for making my favorite super-hero lore. Now make something good of it, please. But also, why the aliens?
