Devcats developper
When I’m sick and done with life in the depths of blankets, I have no brain to do much. In such cases I often play “find 100 hidden cats/dogs/snails/cupcakes/anything really” on my steamdeck. The first time I did this, I was sick with COVID and in bed for two weeks. These games are mostly not noteworthy by themselves. If some artists do a nice visual work on them, it is still a big picture with X elements to find. They do take me some minutes to complete. I enjoy them and then forget about them, getting slightly annoyed at my steam library being cluttered full of them.
So, instead, I want to talk about de Devcats. They develop cat-theme hidden objects games, and they are well put together, with puzzles to solve, a lot of Easter eggs, side quests and some humour. But mostly, the devs rescue cats in real life, and the founding goes to help the cats in questions. So every game you’re getting updates on the cats and how they’re doing, and this is kinda neat. They also update their games with sometimes free, sometimes not-free DLCs, but their games are never really pricey and a lot of them have a free version you can test out. So yeah, it is kinda neat that your money is helping real cats, and the games are done with a lot of love.
