The last book in the series. Thank god. This was bad. There is not much more I can say, because it was really just that bad. Everything I liked about the first one thrown away to play war. Without plot, without anything. I couldn’t even care about the death of my favorite character. You can breeze through this book and not miss much, it is shallow, it is empty, it wants to be epic fantasy, but it can only play on kindergarten level. Which is sad, because the first one was promising for what it wanted to be. If you are one of those influencers afraid of words and real books on social media, I guess this is right up your alley (am I salty ? Yes. Did I see some videos of booktookers and booktwitter takes that mad me very sad ? Yes, yes. Am I petty ? Also yes).

Still, I guess Kaner manages to have a somewhat equal quality (although not good quality) throughout it all, so it could be so much worse. The LGBTQ+ representation is still nice. As it is, it is only forgettable. Kuddos to the illustrator though, those book covers really are good.
