The Lady in the Van

From 2016, The Lady in the Van tells us the story of Miss Shepherd, a homeless older woman living in a van, an the writer Alan Bennett who decides to help the woman out. For around 15 years, Miss Shepherd will live in his driveway.

The most beautiful – but also saddest – thing about the movie is the fact that everything is based on a true story. Miss Shepherd did exist, as did Bennett’s relationship with her. It is heartwarming seeing the people of Camden bringing her gifts, as it is heartbreaking that Bennett had her live in his driveway for so long knowing almost nothing about her. He will find out most things after she already passed away.

It is a very touching movie, the actors did a wonderful job.
