Viewfinder

There is something frustrating with games that have a great idea but do nothing with them. Viewfinder is one of those games. The idea with the perspectives and the camera are really neat, but everything is a walk in the park, and at the end, they make you do a whole segment against the clock, which is not enjoyable at all, since they never did anything like this until then. It felt like a whole new game and if I would’ve enjoyed it in another setting, this only felt annoying. Special mention for the one time I got stuck in the decor that spawned on me. The run against the clock part has the platforms spawn and despawn as you solve the riddles and if you can totally be on a part that will softlock you as the new platforms spawn it.

I was also totally disinterested in the story. It did not grab me at all. I do, though, not understand the hate the off voice got. It was not that terrible. She did not have anything crucial to say, yes, but she was silent enough not to bother me.

Anyway, I just wish that they did more with their game mechanics and level difficulty.
