Beef

I mostly watch series when people do recommandations. And I will either hate or love them for it. A friend suggested I watch Beef, a 10 episodes series on Netflix. I am now in a love-hate relationship with this person. On the one hand it is a very good series. On the other hand it is a very good series. The kind of good you need to be carefull to recommend because it does handle some heavy stuff that can be soulcrushing. The series sets the tone by starting out with a guy planing his suicide.

I found the asian-american point of view of Beef to be very fascinating. It is a well crafted story which as a lot to say with its characters. They are terrible people, so terrible, but you still feel for them. You understand how they ended up like this. It also illustrates pretty well how bad moods and violence can carry frome situation to situation and person to person to end in some catastrophic events.

I liked it, a very good series. I was also very sad watching some of it.
